Description
Reverse osmosis, also known as “ultra-filtration” at an industrial level, is a filtration process where water is pressed through a semi-permeable membrane that separates and gets rid of unwanted substances. Developed in the late 1950s, is the only effective method for water desalination and it is used at a large scale by water bottling facilities and industries that require purified water.
